Denise Fair, MPH, FACHE is the Chief Public Health Officer of the Detroit Health Department. Board certified in healthcare management from the American College of Healthcare Executives, Fair has over 12 years of leadership experience in regional management of ambulatory outpatient sites, financial management, strategic planning, project management, Lean/Six Sigma process improvement, physician relations, change management, consulting, and program planning and development. She previously served as a Group Practice Director for Henry Ford Health System, where she provided executive oversight of three primary care clinics and multi-specialty medical centers. As a past Senior Consultant and Program Administrator for Trinity Health System, Fair managed a broad portfolio of operations, including $300M in financial synergies, 8 ambulatory clinics and urgent care facilities, and over $750K in cost-saving solutions.

Fair holds leadership positions on the Executive Committee for the Livonia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has also represented the Board of Directors for the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. As a resident of Detroit and Michigan native, she enjoys competing in local and international marathons and mentoring young leaders. Fair obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Master of Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley. She is currently completing her Master of Business Administration in Finance at the Mike Ilitch School of Business at Wayne State University.
